The Crédit d’Impôt Recherche (CIR – Research Tax Credit accreditation) is a generic measure to support research and development (R&D) companies created by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Companies that incur for fundamental research and experimental development can benefit from the CIR by deducting them from their tax under certain conditions.
The activities covered by the CIR include fundamental and/or applied research and experimental development activities, embracing any domain of research.

Spin-off of University of Porto
A Spin-off is a new company created with the purpose of developing new products or technological or innovative basic services. This company is born from ideas or processes generated in an existing organization, be it another company, a public or private research center or a University, which welcomes and supports the new initiative. The spin-off seal U.Porto seeks to highlight all the business ideas that are intended to be build up as companies and derive from the ability of creation and production of R&D of the University. inovapotek is the first Spin-off of the University of Porto.
